Day 30: Disenchanted

It's not every day you get to enter a real life Fairytale, but today we did!

It's been almost a year since Anne, Emer and myself managed to meet up, but yesterday we crossed borders ( legally of course) and congregated in Emer's house in Bray. While there, we couldn't help but take a spin down to the picturesque village of Enniskerry, which is undergoing it's transformation for the film Disenchanted.

It is still a work in progress but it still had that other world charm. Many of the shop fronts had a false facade with wonderfully peculiar names.

Mary Popover's Bakery

A pub had been transformed into a tavern, complete with mock Tudor beams. But regardless of what century we were in, there was still no indoor service!

The main building is of course the palace.

We assume that the blue band around the top is where they'll superimpose the CGI fancy bits afterwards!

Yes, we were there!!!

Unfortunately there was no sighting of Dr McDreamy.

So we had to retire to a local hostilery ( namely, Emer's back garden!)
A bottle of your finest cognac Innkeeper, and fresh horses for the men.
